If there's too much toilet paper in the bowl, or if other objects have found their way into your toilet, your system is likely to clog. 

People sometimes will flush paper towels, feminine hygiene products, or wet wipes down the toilet. Don't! A toilet is not a trash can, and even wipes that are labeled "flushable" can clog your pipes.

Keep the Lid Closed and Teach Your Kids What Not to Do

Sometimes, just keeping the toilet lid closed can be the best policy. It's easy for items like Q-tips, makeup brushes, toothbrushes, and more to fall in and get flushed.
